It was winter in Wisconsin, but the roads were clear for a change, so I went for a long drive. Only a couple days previous, everything looked like this.
Pretty, but a pain in the ass when it’s on the streets and sidewalks. I ended up at the Creamery in Downsville. It was my first time there, and I loved it. They gave me a wonderful table near the patio door (closed for the season, of course). The fireplace was in front of me, built into a beautiful brick wall.
After I ordered, I took a picture through the glass doors. I bet it’s a peaceful place to sit and enjoy the birds when the weather is warm.
The server brought my wine and a glass of water. The way the sun was shining through the glass inspired me. I can’t make up my mind which version I like best. Which one do you prefer?
After a tasty lunch, I went home the long way and spotted this tableau on a backroad.
The cats were enjoying an unexpected afternoon of warmth. Before dark, they would return to the barn and curl up in piles of hay, sharing body heat.
See you next time.
