Feb 24: Morning at the Park

There was still plenty of fall red around at the end of January.

It was a chilly morning, but it was warming up to 75 degrees, and a couple guys were getting ready to fish.

The bright yellow flowers bordering the trail had attracted bees. I thought I’d test how well the telephoto lens handled detail closer to me. The telephoto lens can take pictures as close as three or four feet. It did pretty well.

On the way home, I swung by Lake Wales Ridge, but I didn’t see one living creature. Last time I got those terrific pics of bluebirds. This time there was nothing around. I took a photo of the only thing worth shooting: a birdhouse.  I wish there’d been something in it!

Before calling it a day, I stopped at the Point. It’s the narrowest part of the lake.

See you next time.
