Is there anything more awe-inspiring and beautiful than a sunset? Every photographer, without exception, takes pictures of them.

I’ve been practicing long exposures by taking photos of sunsets. I’ve gone as high as twenty seconds to smooth the water.

Today I’m showing you sunsets. 🙂

The first three were taken one evening. The clouds were so interesting, I couldn’t stop taking pics. The first one is a closeup of the marina. All the boats aren’t back yet, as the owners haven’t arrived from up north.

This is a wider and later view of the pic above. Those clouds! Magnificent.

Finally the sun sets, night moves in, and colors darken.

On another night, the sky was overcast. I was given an opportunity to shoot a different kind of sunset. I love this photo. It’s simple but effective. Very little color but a lot of mood.

Love the sun rays shooting over the edge of the dark cloud.

The sun shining through slash pines at the bridge that leads to the island gazebo.

I’ll wrap up with a presentation of dramatic clouds during one sunset. I love how they’re lit brightly against the darkness behind them.

See you next time.
