Isn’t this bird cute? Yellow warblers are quite small, but I was lucky to catch this one in the process of building a nest.
The following two photos are of skippers. There’s probably more to those names–there are lots of skippers; 3500+ have been identified –but I wasn’t able to ID them more specifically. I do know they’re common, both here and in Wisconsin.
Here’s the one I took today. It landed in the grass very near my feet, so I was able to get pretty close with the camera.
This photo was taken in WI some years ago. Not quite the same, but in that family.
