After several days of nearly steady rain, this morning it was sunny. I took advantage of the respite (more rain is expected) to get out on the moped with a camera.

One of the nearby canals is full of water, and there was some activity. There wasn’t much cover, and I couldn’t get close either walking or on the moped, but I did get some good photos.

This is a green heron. Why they call them “green,” I’ll never know. Apparently it has something to do with the color down their back, but in the sun, all I saw was gray/blue. He’s got cute orange legs, though. 🙂 These herons are on the small size, more akin to the little blues. Various processes were used, including Topaz Simplify and Impression, PS, and Luminar.

Another photo I treated with Impression and Simplify was this one. Great blue heron.

Finally, two photos taken in fog, in Wisconsin.

The new book should be available at Amazon Sunday. Keep your eyes open for it: Queer Justice.

Lastly, I am looking for editing work. If you or someone you know needs a good editor, contact me. Check out the blog page here on cost and turnaround.

Have a terrific week!
