I’m between edits again, so I’m working on the WIP. It’s now at 50K, and I begin to see how this will end. 🙂
I tend to write with only a general idea of the story and characters. If I know what’s coming, I get bored and stop. I like to be surprised, just like the reader.
The first two pics were taken an hour ago in my backyard. I used the Canon’s superzoom for these, as they were quite a distance away. It’s difficult shooting black birds; you have to depend on the light to show detail.
This is a photo manip. I moved the great blue to a different background and messed with it some.
Harn’s Marsh. I wanted dramatic backlighting, and those sun sparkles on the water. The heron is a tricolor.
Still at Harn’s Marsh but photo shot from a different place and angle. It was a gorgeous day, as you can see.
Spanish Moss, hanging in a really large, beautiful tree in a yard not far from me. When it’s thin like this, you can really see what it looks like.
Lastly, photo of a “hidden” stream along a backroad. I loved the reflections in the water. It was a mostly cloudy day, and I waited until the sun finally peeked out to take the picture.
See you next time!
As always, I love the pictures, especially the two black birds. But, if I’m honest, I have to confess that I’m far more excited about the fact that you’re 50k into a new story. I know your audience isn’t anywhere near as large as you deserve it to be, but, for this reader, it’s a huge pleasure to know that in the not too distant future I’ll get to read a brand new Fenraven story again. 🙂 May the muse be with you.
🙂 Thanks. It seems I must continue to write even if almost no one reads it.
