In the lanai, a rosemary plant happily shares pot space with a pathos. It recently bloomed. Such tiny, delicate little flowers!

I frequently stop by the nearby lake to see if I can spot the ‘gator currently hunting there. I’ve been told ducks have vanished at an alarming rate. When they’re gone, the ‘gator will no doubt move on.

I did see him one day, but the lighting was bad–dark side of the island, too many shadows–and I got no pictures worth keeping. I did, however, see a turtle crawl up on a fallen log. I’ve been told this is a female yellow-bellied slider.

Spotted this grasshopper at one of my favorite canals. It flew past me and landed on a stalk of tall grass.

Sunrises and sunsets are often glorious in Florida. Here are a couple pics I snapped from my front door one evening. The first one, I was facing west. The second, I was facing north. I love that delicate touch of green near the bottom of the photo. Green! I’ve never seen that in a sunset before.

Have a wonderful week!

I have a friend that has an eight foot gator for a pet. Bought him when he was eight inches. Not sure what the future plans are… 😬

I love the turtle! Stretching toward the sun!

Turtles are fun. I briefly kept one as a pet when I was a kid but then wisely let it go. An adult friend of a friend was into them big time, however. Had a huge terrarium for them. He was an archeologist. Unfortunately, he died a few years ago from leukemia.

The turtle shot is fantastic. I’m so glad you moved to Florida! xxx
