Photo Friday: Florida Sky

Photos are clickable for full size uploaded. I urge you to take a closer look at the full majesty of nature. 🙂

All the sky pictures were taken on the same evening, within a twenty-minute time period.

I noticed something dramatic was happening, fetched the camera, and went out, pointing the lens at different sections of the sky as things developed.

The photos are stunning and illustrate how beautiful the sky in Florida often is.

To wrap it up this week, we’ll visit a trio of ibis, standing under a tree on the opposite side of the canal. Think they notice a dramatic sky? My guess is they don’t, but we are still finding out much about the creatures we share our planet with. ibis-trio-9-26-16-sm

Have a terrific weekend!

Wow, you do get fabulous skies in your part of the world. We get nice ones occasionally too, but nothing quite that spectacular 🙂 Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful and safe weekend.

While it still sounds dangerous for the east coast, it seems the threat has lessened a bit. That part of the ocean is really roiling though, given Nicole got stronger and changed direction overnight. I’ll be keeping an eye on that area to see what happens, but I’m safe on the Gulf Coast. There’s wind today, but it’s not even raining right now.

Hurrumph. I guess Santa Fe doesn’t have a monopoly on glorious skies after all. 😀
