This will be my last post of the year, as I’m taking next week off for a much-needed break from everything. We have been invited to a New Year’s party where I expect much debauchery. It may not be a White Party, but we expect to have a great deal too much fun and wake up with hangovers. 🙂
Already, we are planning on spending much of the 1st in bed, whether or not sleep is involved.
This week, AJ and I have been fighting pirates again. It hurts us financially when a site offers free downloads of our books, but it’s also vexing they don’t realize this is stealing, pure and simple. I think they should write a book once to see how very hard it is and maybe that will change their minds. Alternately, I could go to their workplace and steal part of their check. Wonder if that would make the point?
If you or someone you know has been wanting to pick up Transgression, now’s the time! It’s for sale at Amazon for $1 off until the end of the year. 🙂 Do share this with everyone you know. Christmas money is burning a hole in their pockets, and I wouldn’t mind getting some of it. Ha!
Winter is hard upon on us and I’m fighting depression every day. Ugh, I really can’t stand the cold and snow. AJ is handling it better except for the drive back and forth to work after a snowfall. He doesn’t mind gray skies nearly as much as me. There are a good three to four months to go until spring; it seems endless.
I’m already putting out feelers in Florida, and with any luck at all, the move will happen no later than fall next year. ‘Course, anything can happen between now and then, up to and including the end of the world, so I won’t consider it done until I cross the state line and step out of the car to take a picture of a palm tree.
I’m writing again, on something entirely new, and I’m not going to jinx it by talking about it so you’ll have to be patient and wait. I am determined to have lots of fun putting this together. I’m also not pressuring myself to finish it by such and such a date. It’ll be done when it’s done.
I will tell you this (because some of you saw the picture I posted recently of a small house on a tiny island in a lake): the story was inspired by that photo.
Wishing you all a terrific end of the year. Here’s hoping 2014 is much, much better than 2013 (and remember to vote out the GOP imbeciles next November!).
