And the Seasons March On…

Couple of years ago, when I was visiting the relatives in WI, so much rain fell that low-lying areas were flooded. I took the picture below after driving across a road covered in water. I see barriers like that as a challenge. 🙂 When I was living in Florida, downpours were so torrential the street drains couldn’t keep up; I remember driving along a road with water pluming on either side of the car.

This year, nearly every stream I pass is dry, very green grass growing up out of the creek bed. It did rain last night, and there was some thunder and a couple lightning bolts. This morning, everything is wet.

But summer is quickly going. Signs of fall are everywhere. The purple phlox are in the ditches already, the blue chicory flowers right next to them.

Who doesn’t love the gorgeous colors of that season?

But then comes winter, and we all know how much I really don’t like being cold. ;/
