Wisconsin: Life in the Sticks Ain’t Bad

Spent yesterday in Wisconsin, stayed overnight, came back this morning. Got a couple of good shots. The first one is of Suki, sitting in the sun in late afternoon. I was up on the deck, and I’m still amazed at how good this camera zooms in on subjects relatively far away. Can’t wait until the bugs and dragonflies come out to test it on those.

We went to town for brunch. It’s one of those kitchy ‘country’ cafes, where the walls are lined with old stuff. I actually enjoy the effect. Gives the eye something to look at while you wait for your food.

On the way back, we swung by the park and Uncle Dan raced down to the water to make the geese fly. I got a photo of it.

I like it in Wisconsin, but it’s too far from everything. It was good to get back. Things to do! Places to be!

People to see. (ahem)

    Aw, Suki’s a cutie! 🙂

    • She really is. I’ve appreciated her company a lot lately. She has her own ‘seat’ in the car, so she can look out, and out eyes will meet and I see such intelligence there!

I’m looking forward to the insect pics (don’t wanna touch ’em but the colors and all make pictures so pretty), especially the dragonfly ones. I used to take pictures of them for fun (as in, if they were there, I took pictures, but I was always too lazy to go look for them) but now I live in a big, big city and they’re not around so much anymore. 😦

    • You’ve inspired me! I’ll post some of my old photos today, just because I’ve already taken some extraordinary shots. ;/

(That’s right, I’ve never been all that humble…. LOL)

Hmmmm… Wrong order. Should have been: people to see, places to be and “things” to do… *Wiggling eyebrows* Bwahahahahaha xD

    Love the pictures! *hugs*
