AJ is well known to my mom, aunt and uncle, and we drove over to WI to have Sunday lunch with them. Traditionally, it’s a huge meal, with so much food on the table you can hear the legs creaking. Afterward, while the others lay around in the living room groaning over how much they’d eaten, I took AJ on a little tour of the area.
The weather was just as warm and wonderful today as yesterday. The first thing we saw was this woman in her pony cart. The horse’s name is Autumn. I regret I did not get her owner’s name.
On one of the back roads, we saw this:
Some things are still done the old-fashioned way, and I kind of like that. We were on a gravel road when I suddenly swerved to the shoulder and parked so I could get this shot.
Just down the road, I spotted this sign nailed to a tree. In case y’all were wondering where the newbies end up.
On the way back, we stopped at AJ’s place to put together his bed. He’ll sleep in his new apartment tonight. That should make JJ feel somewhat better. ;/
Writing tonight! I want to hit 10K words by the time I go to bed.
