Not all Mexican restaurants are good. Went to one today with my mom, uncle and aunt. They stopped by to check out the apartment, and then we went out to eat.
It was one of those hole in the wall places, which can sometimes be really good but just as often suck bad. This place leaned toward the latter. First, you could see the people at the grills and none of them wore hairnets. I thought that was a law? We waited a while and people who came in after us were served first. They were obviously regulars and were getting preferential treatment.
After the food came, I saw some kind of flying insect buzzing my mom’s food. Uncle Dan bit into his meal and whispered, “Is this supposed to be ice cold?” I didn’t think much of my order, either. After we paid and left, he said, “We are never eating there again.” I laughed and agreed. Mom just smiled and linked her arm with Irene as we headed back to the van.
There are lots of restaurants and cafes in the area. I’m going to try them all!
