Yesterday was really difficult. I’d elected to stay offline all day to support the protest against SOPA/PIPA, and I did very well, despite a nearly constant urge to check my usual sites or look up various things, like how to jazz up jasmine rice (didn’t look, so don’t know). I was online briefly to do payroll at work, but otherwise, I kept my eyes averted!
Everyone should spend one entire day offline if only to remind them what an important resource it has become. It’s as much a part of my life now as a land line was ten years ago.
News: I wrapped the latest WIP on Tuesday and sent it to AJ to beta. He’s editing it now. It’s an ambitious work, and as I finished it, I realized this one will demand one sequel, maybe two. Good thing I love these characters!
As soon as AJ finishes his edit and I’ve gone over it yet again, I’ll submit it. In the meantime, I’ve started designing the cover already. I have a specific idea in mind and only hope I can bring it to fruition. The publisher doesn’t have to use it, but I feel compelled to offer it to them. ;/
Also, JJ and I finished watching all five seasons of QaF (Queer as Folk, to those of you unfamiliar with the show). It’s our third time through, I think. Here’s a pic to commemorate it:
