I’m heading off to the dealerships today to find something affordable before I’m out of work, which hopefully won’t be for long. The one thing in my favor is that the economy sucks, so they will want what little money I have.
Can’t live in the upper Midwest without a vehicle. It’s not like NYC. They don’t have subways and their buses are less than adequate. People don’t walk much there unless they have a dog on a leash.
Last night, I finally checked my spam and, by god, all my LJ alerts were in there. ??? I changed no settings, so either Google or LJ did. I think it’s fixed now, but who knows? I keep an eye on the Spam folder now, just in case.
Catching up on the LJ news, I discovered the service had another meltdown while I wasn’t looking. And too bad, because it seems, for a brief time (LJ says an hour, other posts reveal it was much longer), users found themselves logged into accounts not their own and were able to read private/locked entries from complete strangers.
LJ blew it off a couple different ways but users are pissed; there are pages and pages of nasty comments about how this was a major security breach.
Up until now, LJ has been my primary account, but damn, they’ve had a bad year. Please try to read the WordPress blog first, because LJ is now the backup. The way things are going, who knows how long it will be up?
Oh, and currently, LJArchive is not working. Something’s been broken and not yet fixed.
